Teresa "Hinds" Miller:
Going to Harding Academy was one of
my favorite times of my life. The main reason was the
people who went to school there and the teachers. I hope
you all know that I treasure all the time we spent
together. After Harding I went to Memphis State and then
in 1979 started working for Federal Express which lasted
26 years (some good memories were gathered there as well).
After the first five years working in Memphis I
transferred to Atlanta, Georgia. I met my husband, Skip,
who was an Atlanta native. We married in September of
1988. In 1990 we had a beautiful baby girl, who has
turned into a teenager (HELP!!!!) She has always been
our pride and joy! We enjoyed our lives in Suwanee for
many years. Then in 2002, I was diagnosed with a spinal
tumor which turned out to be non-malignant. After a year
of recouperating from surgery Skip & I went to Tahiti
(Skip won a trip through Fed Ex) we decided before we
left for our trip to put our house up for sale and take
part time jobs with Fed Ex in Panama City Beach and
follow our dream to move to the Gulf Coast and go for a
career change as well. Something about having surgery
makes you want to make changes in your life so we went
for big changes. We no longer work for Fed Ex and are
doing quite well selling Real Estate for Pelican Real
Estate & Development. Our daughter who hated us for
moving her away from her friends is now very happy here
and so are we. We live in Santa Rosa Beach just east of
Sandestin. If any of you are ever in the area we would
love to see you! We have a couple of new additions to
our Florida family, we adopted a puppy,Auggie Doggie and
Skip's Aunt Lucy moved to Destin this summer. My sister,
Karen (Class of 1978) is living outside Atlanta and is
very happy as well. She has four girls and a second
husband, two of her daughter still live at home and two
are out on their own making their own way in life as we
all must do. I hope you enjoy the pictures and still
